Experimental Font Edge by Carlie Ness
The alphabet evolved from an idea to explore the boundaries of letter forms. Each letter is visualised three-dimensionally and rotated ninety degrees to the left, so that what you see is the right-hand edge of the letter. The entire alphabet is shown in the top row, and below are a list of words spelled out using the alphabet. (The words are listed at the bottom-right of the page as a reference).
Artist Biography
Selected to exhibit as part of D&AD New Blood 2007, Carlie Ness’ graphics are predominantly vector-based. Yet after graduating with a degree in Graphic Communication from Bath Spa University, Carlie has also created more flowing and abstract images inspired by her love of music, cinema and literature.
